Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Allen Hurns is set to be the go-to guy against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5. The question is can he break through Pittsburgh’s No. 2 pass defense?
Fantasy football, Week 5: Start or sit Allen Hurns?
The Jags’ defacto top receiver may be worth a look in Week 5. We break down the fantasy implications.

Although he produced only 42 yards last week, Hurns has been targeted a healthy 20 times in the last three weeks combined.
Fantasy impact: Hurns leads the team with 186 yards and two touchdowns on the year. That’s an average of 46.5 yards per game. Not the worst average, but not exactly a number you’d look for out of a fantasy starter.
That makes Hurns a touchdown-dependent option of sorts, also something owners probably don’t want to count on. In deep leagues with lots of receiver slots, starting him may not be optional.
If you do have an option, it’s probably better to let Hurns sit on the bench. There are other receivers out there who will outperform the Jags’ talent.
Recommendation: Sit
