New York Giants running back Wayne Gallman carried the ball 11 times for 42 yards in his first game of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4.
Fantasy football, Week 5: Start or sit Wayne Gallman
The Giants have a new face starting in the backfield in Week 5. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gallman is set to make his first start ever thanks to injuries suffered by Orleans Darkwa and Paul Perkins. It may be time to pick him up.
Fantasy impact: So this one is a bit of a long shot. But the fact is that no one in New York is standing in Gallman’s way of getting carries in Week 5. He’ll face a Los Angeles Chargers defense that only ranks middle of the pack against the run too.
It is not out of the realm of possibility that he may see 20 carries on Sunday. The sample size is definitely small, but in deep leagues with multiple running back slots, Gallman is worth a start.
Who knows, he could string together multiple solid efforts and become a fantasy surprise. Time will tell.
Recommendation: Start
