Andre Holmes had his best game as a Buffalo Bill in Week 8 with three catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. Holmes made a toe-dragging catch in the back of the end zone against his former team, the Oakland Raiders, for his third touchdown of the season. This was Holmes’ first game with over 50 yards receiving this season.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 9: What to do with Andre Holmes on Thursday night
Coming off his best week this season, Holmes still does not offer much fantasy value. We explain why.

The Bills should be able to do whatever they want offensively against the New York Jets. The Jets rank in the bottom-seven or worse in every defensive category in the league.
Fantasy impact: Holmes did not see the ball a lot because Bills QB Tyrod Taylor did not throw the ball much in Week 8, and he did not have to either. LeSean McCoy went crazy in the game. If McCoy gets going early Thursday night, expect another slow passing night for the Bills. The Jets defense is bad all around, so Holmes could easily spend another week in Shady McCoy’s shadow. If Taylor does throw the ball more this game, Holmes is still fairly low on the target list. It would be wise to give Holmes another week to prove he has some fantasy value.
