The Buffalo Bills pulled off one of the most stunning moves of the trade deadline, acquiring wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin from the Carolina Panthers. Benjamin figures to upgrade a wide receiver group that’s been poor all season, but there are reasons to be skeptical.
Fantasy football Week 10: Kelvin Benjamin, start or sit?
Benjamin is expected to make his Bills debut Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Benjamin didn’t play in Week 9 as the Bills gave him time to learn the system, so he should be ready to go in this week’s contest against the New Orleans Saints. Before the trade, Benjamin had 32 catches for 475 yards and two touchdowns, making him a steady WR3 for fantasy owners. He gives Tyrod Taylor a big target to throw to, something Taylor’s been missing since Sammy Watkins got traded to the Los Angeles Rams.
Fantasy impact: Benjamin caught just two passes for eight yards when he went against the Saints as a Panther earlier this season, but he left the game early with an injury.
The Saints are giving up the 20th-most fantasy points to wide receivers and aren’t quite the bulletproof matchup they were in recent seasons. Combine that with the inevitable adjustment period on a new team, and Benjamin is a riskier play than usual this week.
Recommendation: Start if you’re desperate
