Minnesota Vikings backup running back Jerick McKinnon led the backfield in rushing and receiving yards once again in Week 8. McKinnon had 75 more total yards than starter Latavius Murray in the win over the Cleveland Browns. He finished the night with 14 carries for 50 yards, six catches for 72 yards, and a rushing touchdown.
Fantasy football Week 10: Start or sit Jerick McKinnon Sunday?
McKinnon leads the Vikings’ rushing attack coming off the bench. We break down the fantasy implications.

McKinnon will share the backfield duties with Murray again this Sunday against Washington. Washington does not have a shutdown rushing defense. Still, they kept all but three opposing running backs under 50 yards rushing. No running back has over 50 yards receiving versus Washington.
Fantasy impact: McKinnon should be the starter in Minnesota because he is clearly the better back in the Vikings backfield. Since Week 5, he has had over 99 total yards and at least one touchdown in every game expect Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens. McKinnon will probably have a bigger game than Murray again on Sunday. Sharing with Murray eats into his fantasy stock, but McKinnon should be able to get another 100-plus total yard game in Week 10 versus Washington.
