Week 10 of the fantasy football season is here, and we’re back with another crop of start/sit options. We have a nice set of data about each team through six weeks, and can make informed decisions on good plays and traps. With that in mind, we’ll pick quarterbacks who should exceed expectations in Week 10, along with three you should probably sit.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 10: Wide receivers to consider
We break down the top starting options at wide receiver this week, along with some players who should be avoided.

Start
Marvin Jones, Detroit Lions vs. Cleveland Browns
Don’t look now, but Jones is putting together the best season of his career. If you doubled Jones’ output over the first eight games, he would crush his career highs in receptions and yards and match the 10 touchdowns he had in 2013. Jones has really come on the past three weeks, with 19 catches for 331 yards and three touchdowns. And now he gets to face the Browns. Let the good times roll.
Mike Evans was put in timeout this week after his altercation against the Saints. That opens the door for Jackson to dominate the targets against a beatable Jets defense. Ryan Fitzpatrick’s revenge game should feature a healthy dose of shots downfield to Jackson. It should be noted that one of Jackson’s two touchdown receptions this year came on a pass from Fitz.
We recommended Sammy Watkins in this spot last week, with Janoris Jenkins sitting out against the Rams. It turns out, the entire Giants defense sat out, as Woods ran right threw them for one of his two touchdowns last week. It was Woods’ best game of the season, but he has been a regular contributor for Jared Goff and he gets a chance for an encore against the struggling Texans defense this week.
Sit
Our worst fears have been realized. Nelson is barely fantasy relevant with Aaron Rodgers off the field. In two full games since Brett Hundley has assumed the starting duties at quarterback, Nelson has five catches on 11 targets for 48 yards and no touchdowns. He is unusable in fantasy until the Packers either replace Hundley or Nelson starts throwing the ball to himself.
Allen draws the Venus flytrap known as the Jaguars secondary this week. Even without the brutal matchup, Allen has not been a good fantasy play most of the season. Allen has not scored since Week 1 and has topped 70 yards just twice all season.
Will Fuller, Texans at Rams
Like Nelson with Hundley, the worst-case scenario visited Fuller last week, as he could only manage two catches for 32 yards with Tom Savage under center. Fuller’s touchdown pace with DeShaun Watson was certainly not sustainable, but now his entire floor is in danger of collapsing without Watson able to use his mobility to allow Fuller to get himself open deep. Put Fuller back on the bench for now.
