Running back Jay Ajayi made an immediate impact when he joined the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9. Ajayi came over to the team after a midseason trade with the Miami Dolphins. In his first game as an Eagle, Ajayi carried the ball eight times for 77 yards and a touchdown. He led the backfield in rushing yards in the win over the Denver Broncos despite being out-touched by teammates Corey Clement and LeGarrette Blount. Week 9 also marked Ajayi’s first touchdown of the season.
Fantasy football Week 11: Start or sit Jay Ajayi Sunday
The Eagles plan to give Ajayi more responsibility in the backfield coming off the bye week. We break down the fantasy impact.

Ajayi should be even more effective against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night now that he has had a couple weeks to learn the Eagles’ playbook. He also has a very favorable matchup against Dallas. The Cowboys lost linebacker Sean Lee, their prominent run stopper, in Week 10. The Eagles average the second-most rushing attempts per game in the NFL.
Fantasy impact: Ajayi is working his way to the starting role in Philadelphia. He averaged almost 10 yards per carry in his first game with the team. Clearly, Philadelphia is a good fit for the rusher. Sunday night, he can really go off against a banged-up Dallas defense with more carries. Ajayi has the potential to lead all the rushing categories this week. He should be a fantasy starter for the remainder of the season.
