Fantasy football start/sit, Week 11: How to handle Lions QB Matthew Stafford vs. Bears

The Detroit Lions are living and dying on the arm of Matthew Stafford, who enters Week 11 ranked ninth in fantasy points among quarterbacks.

The veteran passer has been solid throughout the season while throwing to a host of talented pass-catchers, making him a regular starter for fantasy owners. However, that may not continue in Week 11 when Detroit travels to Chicago for a divisional matchup with the Bears.

Stafford has been erratic on the road, as he’s scored under 17 points in two of his four road matchups while scoring 26-plus in the other two. He’s also facing a Bears team that stifled him in 2016, as he combined for just 436 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions in two games versus Chicago.

Fantasy Impact: This time around, Stafford will face a Bears defense allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Keep him on the bench this week.
