Jerick McKinnon had a quiet game against Washington Sunday after gaining 122 total yards and a touchdown in Week 9. The Minnesota Vikings backup rusher was on the field more than fellow RB Latavius Murray; however, Murray out-touched the fourth-year back 17 to 12. McKinnon gained 32 yards on 10 carries and caught two passes for 15 yards in the Vikings win. Week 10 marked his lowest production since Week 4 when the Vikings lost rookie rusher Dalvin Cook to injury.
Fantasy football start/sit advice Week 11: What to do with Jerick McKinnon
McKinnon is hard to trust in fantasy week to week after falling flat in Week 10 vs. Washington.

The Vikings rushers have a favorable matchup against the Los Angeles Rams defense in Week 11. The Rams play lights out against the pass; however, they have given up the ninth-most rushing yards to running backs this season. They are also tied for third in most touchdowns allowed to rushers through Week 10. Pass catching has been held in check by the unit, however.
Fantasy impact: McKinnon is becoming more of a boom-or-bust fantasy play week to week. He is on the field a lot, which is good. Unfortunately, the carries are favoring Murray and when the Vikings are in control of the game, they favor the run. That does not mean owners should forget about McKinnon. He still offers a better upside in the passing game. The matchup this week does not favor McKinnon’s skill set, however.
