Jermaine Kearse is falling into teammate Robby Anderson’s shadow on the New York Jets offense. Kearse has been a ghost on the field in the last two games with an anemic three catches for 43 yards and one touchdown, with that score coming on his one catch in Week 7. Comparably, Anderson has nine catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns in that same span.
Fantasy football Week 9: Start or sit Jermaine Kearse for TNF?
Kearse is losing his spark in the Jets offense and his fantasy relevance as a result.

Now, Kearse is fighting for a limited amount of looks in a very crowded receiving core that includes tight ends and running backs. Thursday night that pack hosts one of the best defenses in the NFL, the division rivals Buffalo Bills. The Bills’ second-ranked defense is shutting down running and passing games throughout the league.
Fantasy impact: In this bye-week period, Kearse is still as unattractive in fantasy as ever. His numbers the last two games are lethargic because he is not catching the ball. Kearse is getting a healthy amount of looks, but he only caught 40 percent of his targets in Week 8 and only 25 percent in Week 7. Who knows what the problem is. What we do know is that he will not fix this issue before Thursday night against one of the best defenses in the league.
