Detroit Lions starting running back Ameer Abdullah has managed to score a touchdown in the last three straight games despite dismal rushing outputs. Abdullah had 11 carries for 22 yards and caught two passes for 13 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Chicago Bears. Abdullah is averaged under three yards per carry through the last four games.
Fantasy football Week 12: Start or sit Ameer Abdullah for Thanksgiving?
Abdullah is finding the end zone, but struggles to gain yards for Detroit. We break down the fantasy impact.

Thursday, Abdullah gets a rematch with division rivals Minnesota Vikings. Abdullah had his best game of the season against Minnesota in Week 4. He rushed 20 times for 94 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 15 yards in the Lions’ win. The Vikings are still excellent against the run allowing the third-fewest rushing yards and fifth-fewest receiving yards to running backs so far this season.
Fantasy impact: Abdullah went off on the Vikings earlier this season, however, it is hard to trust him to have another big outing Thursday based on how poorly he has played since. Abdullah has not rushed for more than 60 yards since Week 4. His saving grace lately has been touchdowns, however, scoring will be a tall order against a defense that has only given up four touchdowns to running backs this season. Abdullah just does not look good this week.
