Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has been on a roll lately. Rivers completed 20 of 32 passes in Week 11 for 251 yards and two touchdowns in the blowout over the Buffalo Bills. Fantasy football start/sit, Week 12: What to do with Philip Rivers on Thanksgiving
Can Rivers have another big game in a short week on the road? We look at the fantasy implications.

Rivers has a good matchup heading into Thursday meeting with the Dallas Cowboys despite traveling on a short week. The Cowboys are missing linebacker Sean Lee opening up the middle of the field. The Cowboys have also given up 18 touchdowns to QBs a tie for fourth-most in the league. They have given up two passing touchdowns in each of their last three games. Rivers owned the Cowboys in their last meeting, throwing for 401 yards and three touchdowns.
Fantasy impact: Rivers is a little bit of a sleeper this week against the Cowboys. Rivers has been playing well lately and he is doing a better job of protecting the ball. The Cowboys’ defense is vulnerable with injuries, noticeably Lee’s injury. That favors the run and short pass game for the Chargers. It is also easy to score against the Cowboys’ secondary. Rivers has a lot of potential and should definitely be in your line up Thursday.
