Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon will be well rested for the Dallas Cowboys Thursday. The Chargers offensive starters rested the fourth quarter of Sunday’s blowout win over the Buffalo Bills. Gordon rushed 20 times for 80 yards and a touchdown in Week 11. It was his first game with 20 or more carries since Week 6. Gordon was shut out of the passing game failing to bring in either of his two targets in the matchup.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 12: What to do with Melvin Gordon on Thursday
Gordon has momentum heading into a favorable matchup with Dallas Thursday. We look at the fantasy implications.

Gordon has a great matchup vs. the Cowboys Thursday. Dallas will not have linebacker Sean Lee who is a major part of the run defense. In the first game without Lee, the Cowboys gave up 215 rushing yards to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11, the most rushing yards they have allowed all season. All of the Eagles rushers had 50 or more rushing yards or a touchdown against the Cowboys.
Fantasy impact: Gordon is looking at a field day Thursday in Dallas. He is coming off a good game where he was allowed to rest the last quarter. Now he takes his fresh legs to face a defense that is missing its best run stopper. Gordon controls the Chargers backfield, so expect him to receive another 20 carries or more in Week 12. With no one to stop him in the middle of the field, Gordon has loads of upside in this game.
