Alfred Morris did not start the game for the Dallas Cowboys Sunday, but he was the leading rusher for the second game in a row with star rusher Ezekiel Elliott on the sideline. Morris carried the ball 17 times for 91 yards in Week 11. It was his best game so far this season. Third-year running back Rod Smith started for the Cowboys in the loss to the division-leading Philadelphia Eagles, but Morris had nine more carries than his teammate in the outing.

Morris should lead the Cowboys’ rushing attack again Thursday against the Los Angeles Chargers. He has an excellent matchup against the worst rushing defense in the league. The Chargers’ defense has given up the most rushing yards and second-most receiving yards to running backs this season. It has only allowed six touchdowns to running backs this season, however.
Fantasy impact: Elliott accounted for 30 percent of Dallas’ offense before his suspension. Morris will not be able to account for all of that production, but he did have a big jump in production from Week 10 to Week 11. Morris runs well, averaging over five yards per carry since Elliott began serving his suspension. With more carries, his fantasy stock just grows. Morris should dominate the carries again Thursday. The matchup coupled with his YPC average make Morris a start for Week 12.
