Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Sammy Watkins will face off against the New Orleans Saints in Week 12. The Saints have been known to get involved in offensive games over the years, but the team’s defense has stepped it up in 2017.
Fantasy football Week 12: Sammy Watkins start or sit?
The Rams’ top receiver on the depth chart has been ice cold for over a month. We break down the fantasy implications.

So should you start Watkins?
Fantasy impact: Watkins was one of the off-season’s biggest acquisitions heading into September. While quarterback Jared Goff has really grown now that former coach Jeff Fisher’s out of the picture, not everyone on the team has benefited, namely Watkins.
He has just 11 catches over the last seven games. For all the math wizards out there that’s less than two catches per contest. Not exactly what you’d want from a number one guy.
It’s for that reason that it’s impossible to start Watkins against the Saints. It’s too deep in the fantasy season to take a gamble like that even on a guy as talented as the former Buffalo Bill.
While he has scored touchdowns in two of the last three games, it might be wise to give Watkins the week off.
Recommendation: Start
