The Denver Broncos are making a switch at quarterback for their matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. They pulled starter Trevor Siemian for veteran backup QB Brock Osweiler after Siemian threw three interceptions in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. Osweiler returned to the Broncos on a veterans minimum contract after backup Paxton Lynch was sidelined with shoulder issues.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 9: What to do with Brock Osweiler on Sunday
The Broncos have named Osweiler the starter for Week 9 in a desperation move. We break down the fantasy implications.

Osweiler began his career with the Broncos and had his best games filling in for Peyton Manning in 2015. He struggled the next season with the Houston Texans, and the Cleveland Browns cut Osweiler during the 2017 preseason. Osweiler’s only game action so far this season was seven snaps in Week 6 against the New York Giants.
Fantasy impact: The change from Siemian to Osweiler will probably make little difference for the Broncos Sunday. Osweiler certainly will not do much better than Siemian in fantasy. Hopefully, he won’t be worse. Do not expect the Broncos receivers to see a boost this week. This move will probably help the Eagles defense, and that’s about it.
