Mohamed Sanu was largely a bit player on the Atlanta Falcons’ historic offense last season, but he appears to be playing a bigger role this year. With Julio Jones getting all the defensive attention, Sanu has emerged as a capable No. 2 receiver, bringing in 28 catches for 302 yards and two touchdowns in six games.
Fantasy football 2017 Week 9: Mohamed Sanu, start or sit?
Sanu has been productive since coming back from a hamstring injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

The one drawback is that Sanu missed two games with a hamstring injury, but since coming back in Week 7, he’s had 12 catches for 139 yards and a touchdown. The Falcons’ offense has gotten a lot of grief this season, but Sanu is a steady producer, if not an electric playmaker.
Fantasy impact: Averaging nearly five catches per game, Sanu is a decent WR3 option in PPR leagues, though he doesn’t get enough yardage to be an every-week starter in standard formats. He’ll also have a tough matchup against the Carolina Panthers, who are giving up the eighth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. He’ll be a fine DFS bargain but is a tougher sell in regular 12-team leagues this week.
Recommendation: Start if you’re desperate
