Miami Dolphins running back Kenyan Drake will start against the Oakland Raiders in Week 9. Drake replaces Jay Ajayi as the starter after Ajayi was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy football start/sit Week 9: What to do with Kenyan Drake
The Dolphins’ running back is the new top dog in Miami. We break down the fantasy implications.

So far this season, Drake has just 25 yards on 10 carries in very limited action.
Fantasy impact: Drake and teammate Damien Williams will likely share carries against the Raiders. Most savvy fantasy owners would be smart to assume some sort of timeshare is in order for the immediate future.
That puts a cap on both players right now, though Drake is expected to be the lead back. It’s why he’s been picked up in nearly half of fantasy leagues virtually overnight.
With Ajayi manning the backfield, the Dolphins quickly became a run-first team in 2016. With a team-friendly, long-term contract, the trade has generally been viewed as a misstep by the Dolphins.
Regardless, fantasy owners have to move on and Drake represents an opportunity to scoop up a potential starting running back in the middle of the season. If you added him and you’re thin at the running back position, start Drake.
Recommendation: Start
