Dallas Cowboys running back Alfred Morris will be the starter when the team takes on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9. Teammate Ezekiel Elliott is set to serve a six-game suspension that brings Morris to the fantasy forefront to start the second half of the season.
Fantasy football start/sit Week 9: What to do with Alfred Morris
A familiar face not named Ezekiel Elliott will be carrying the ball for the Cowboys on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Morris has an impressive 105 yards on 13 rush attempts this season. Don’t be fooled though, most of those yards came on two carries back in Week 4.
Fantasy impact: Teammates Rod Smith and Darren McFadden also figure to be in the mix with Morris. Smith is the most inexperienced back and theoretically has the most upside. McFadden on the other hand is an elder statesman at this point. Neither one should threaten Morris this week.
For fantasy owners looking to replace Elliott or capitalize on his absence however, the question is whether Morris will see enough action to somewhat replace what Dallas will now be missing.
In deep leagues, there may be no choice but to start Morris. However, owners deep at the running back position should consider other options.
Recommendation: Sit
