The Dallas Cowboys’ conundrum at running back will continue for at least one more week. While Ezekiel Elliott is the workhorse back, his looming suspension had left Dallas trying to figure out who the next man up will be if Elliott does serve his six-game suspension this season, which keeps getting delayed, reinstated, and delayed yet again.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 9: What to do with Darren McFadden on Sunday
Will Dallas give Darren McFadden enough touches to be fantasy relevant in Week 9?

For now, it looks like Alfred Morris will be the man while Rod Smith and Darren McFadden also get touches. Morris has been the No. 2 running back all season, and he’s expected to be the starter once Elliott begins serving his suspension.
However, McFadden has a 1,000-yard season under his belt in Dallas, so there’s some thought he could wind up being the featured back once Elliott is out of the picture. Even so, don’t expect to see much of McFadden in Week 9 when the Kansas City Chiefs come to town.
Fantasy advice: McFadden will face a Chiefs defense allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs over the last three weeks. It’s a great matchup, and McFadden should do some damage with the limited touches he gets, but keep him benched this week.
