Week 14 of the fantasy football season is here, and we’re back with another crop of start/sit options. We have a nice set of data about each team through 13 weeks and can make informed decisions on good plays and traps. With that in mind, we’ll pick receivers who should exceed expectations in Week 14, along with three you should probably sit.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 14: Wide receivers
We break down the top starting options at wide receiver this week, along with some players who should be avoided.

Start
Amari Cooper is set to miss his second straight game, while Crabtree returns from his one-game suspension. The timing and circumstances could hardly be better for Crabrtree, who should not only get a massive share of targets, but he won’t have to contend with Marcus Peters, who has been suspended one game by the Chiefs.
The Browns force-fed Gordon all the targets he could handle in his first game since 2014 – 11 targets in all – and Gordon was up to the challenge, catching four passes for 85 yards against the tough Chargers secondary. The Packers are the opposite of tough against wide receivers, so expect Gordon to get a similar target share, only at increased efficiency, which could translate to over 100 yards and at least one score.
Oh, the narratives! With the coach and general manager purged, and Eli Manning reclaiming the throne as the starting quarterback, the stage is set for a massive passing day. The last time Manning and Shepard played in the same game, Shepard torched the 49ers for 11 catches and 142 yards. A repeat performance against a shaky Dallas secondary seems highly likely.
Sit
Benjamin is expected to play on Sunday after missing two weeks with a knee injury, but if Nathan Peterman is his quarterback, it’s hard to get excited about his prospects. The Colts are a fine team to re-enter against, but this play really only works if Tyrod Taylor suits up.
Josh Doctson, Washington at Los Angeles Chargers
Doctson is hard to trust even under ideal conditions, and facing Casey Hayward and the Chargers’ defense on the road is hardly ideal. This could be a long day for the Washington offense.
Funchess is going to get the Xavier Rhodes treatment. After putting up a fantasy 50-burger two weeks ago, Julio Jones was completely shut down by Rhodes last week. Funchess < Julio.
