Danny Amendola stepped up in a big way in the New England Patriots offense last Monday to help fill the void left by tight end Rob Gronkowski and wideout Chris Hogan. Amendola caught six passes on 10 targets for 76 yards in the loss to the Miami Dolphins. It was his most targets in a game this year. The nine-year slot receiver had his first 70-plus yard receiving effort since Week 5.
Fantasy football Week 15: Start or sit Danny Amendola?
Amendola stepped up in a depleted Patriots receiving corps last Monday. We break down the fantasy impact for a big matchup with Pittsburgh in Week 15.

The Patriots will have Gronkowski and Hogan back in the lineup for the matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday. Amendola tends to be an afterthought in the Patriots offense with them in the lineup. He struggled in the playoffs versus the Steelers last season. Amendola caught two passes for 12 yards against Pittsburgh in last year’s AFC Championship game.
Fantasy impact: Amendola is not a fantasy factor with Hogan and Gronkowski in the lineup. He is going to see a dramatic drop in targets Sunday. It is best to avoid Amendola for the remainder of the playoffs.
