Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has formally ruled out wide receiver Antonio Brown for Week 16. Brown suffered a calf injury on Sunday against the New England Patriots. He went to a hospital for further examination, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported it to be a partially torn calf muscle.
Antonio Brown ruled out for fantasy football owners in Week 16
The Pittsburgh Steelers have already ruled out their star wide receiver. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: This is huge for fantasy championships in Week 16 (and the rare Week 16 semifinal). Brown was the highest scoring wide receiver through Week 15, and was the fourth highest scoring non-quarterback in all of fantasy football. Eli Rogers will see the biggest increase in snaps with Brown’s absence, but JuJu Smith-Schuster and Martavis Bryant are the two players to watch on Monday against the Houston Texans.
If you need a wide receiver, the best options potentially available in your leagues include Bryant, Dede Westbrook, Mike Wallace, and Randall Cobb. You can read more about each one in our wide receiver waiver rankings.
