Almost nothing went as planned for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — they entered the season as trendy playoff contenders and will be ending it with double-digit losses instead.
Fantasy football Week 16 start/sit: What to do with Jameis Winston
Winston continues an up-and-down season against the Panthers. We break down the fantasy implications.

A bad defense and nonexistent running game have been the main culprits, but Jameis Winston also hasn’t taken a big leap forward like expected. His on-paper stats look good (2,774 yards and 17 touchdowns in 11 games), but he’s also committed 12 turnovers (eight interceptions, four lost fumbles).
Fantasy impact: The good news is that Winston had one of his best games last week, throwing for 299 yards and three touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons. He’s looking to finish the season on a strong note, but he has a tough matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Winston struggled when these teams last met in Week 8, tossing two interceptions and losing a fumble in a 17-3 loss.
The upside is always there for Winston, but he hasn’t done much to live up to his hype this year. Treat him as a borderline QB1 for fantasy championship week.
Recommendation: Start if you’re desperate
