Ever since losing Dalvin Cook to a torn ACL, the Minnesota Vikings have turned to a committee featuring Jerick McKinnon and Latavius Murray. It’s been a fairly even timeshare so far, with Murray getting all the work between the tackles and McKinnon mixing in on passing downs.
Fantasy football Week 13: Jerick McKinnon, start or sit?
McKinnon continues playing in an even timeshare with Latavius Murray. We break down the fantasy implications.

It was more of the same on Thanksgiving. McKinnon saw 14 touches and turned them into just 54 total yards against the Detroit Lions. He also had only one catch, his lowest total since Week 4. Meanwhile, Murray had 20 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown, clearly being the more productive back of the game.
Fantasy impact: McKinnon’s pass-catching ability and big-play potential makes him an appealing play in PPR leagues, but he hasn’t established any kind of consistent ceiling and is prone to duds like last week. That makes him really hard to trust in the fantasy playoffs, and he’ll be another boom-or-bust option against the Atlanta Falcons this week. Atlanta’s defense is giving up the 12th-fewest fantasy points to running backs in 2017.
Recommendation: Start if you’re desperate
