The Minnesota Vikings have committed to an even backfield between Latavius Murray and Jerick McKinnon since losing Dalvin Cook to a torn ACL. It’s been pretty straightforward as a “thunder and lightning” combination — Murray gets all the carries on early downs, McKinnon is the pass-catching specialist. Both men have been productive in their own way, but Murray is riding a little hot streak right now.
Fantasy football start/sit Week 13: What to do with Latavius Murray
Murray’s been a scoring machine in recent weeks. We break down the fantasy implications.

Over the past three games, Murray has four touchdowns while grinding out yards between the tackles, with 247 yards on 52 carries. Finally healthy after missing most of the offseason with ankle surgery, Murray’s established a pretty safe floor in fantasy football.
Fantasy impact: Never lacking for touches in a run-first offense, Murray is a stable RB2 in standard leagues, though his lack of catches decreases his value in PPR formats. Nevertheless, he’ll be another high-floor play against the Atlanta Falcons, who are giving up the 12th-fewest fantasy points to running backs. His short-yardage work makes Murray a weekly scoring threat, boosting his fantasy upside.
Recommendation: Start
