It’s been kind of an up-and-down year for running back Devonta Freeman. After getting a big contract extension from the Atlanta Falcons in the preseason, Freeman has delivered big performances but also suffered through some major slumps. On the year, he has just 515 yards and five touchdowns in nine games, averaging 4.4 yards per carry but reaching the 100-yard mark once.
Fantasy football start/sit Week 13: What to do with Devonta Freeman
Freeman is back from a concussion that cost him two games. We break down the fantasy implications.

Freeman got a concussion in Week 10 that kept him out for two games, his second known concussion of the season. He’s since been cleared and will make his return against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13.
Fantasy impact: Freeman would be an easy RB1 most weeks, but after two games on the shelf, he could have some tough sledding here. The Vikings’ defense is an imposing matchup, giving up the second-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Freeman should be in all lineups for the fantasy playoffs, but this is a riskier play than usual.
Recommendation: Start if you’re desperate
