Adrian Peterson injury update: How to handle Cardinals RB vs. Rams

Editor’s update: Peterson is a game-time decision, but Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter are both reporting he is a long-shot to play.

The Arizona Cardinals and Adrian Peterson will look to keep their slim playoff hopes alive in Week 13 when they host the Los Angeles Rams.

However, Peterson may be unable to go due to a neck injury that has him questionable to play. If Peterson is active, he has a very enticing matchup with Los Angeles.

With so many issues at quarterback in Arizona, Peterson has become a featured weapon in this offense, something he should remain for the rest of the 2017 season. His production in Arizona has been inconsistent, but he has consistently gotten he bulk of the touches.

There is a slim chance that David Johnson is able to come off injured reserve during the final month of the regular season, but it looks like Arizona will play it safe and keep him on ice, allowing Peterson to be the featured back for the final five games.

Fantasy Advice: Peterson now gets to face a Rams defense that, while strong overall, is allowing the most fantasy points to running backs this season. If he is active, get AP into your starting lineup this Sunday.
