With two games officially under their belts, the 2017 rookie class is starting to make their presence felt in the NFL. Most rookies will not see the field much in the regular season. However, there are a handful of rookies that will make an impact on the league and in fantasy right away.
Fantasy Football 2017: Preseason Week 3 rookie wide receiver preview
We take a look at the most notable rookie wide receivers to watch in preseason Week 3.

This week teams prepare for preseason Week 3, the prelude to the regular season. Looking ahead to such a pivotal game, here are some rookie wideouts worth watching and a preview of their fantasy impact.
Everyone in Tennessee is eagerly waiting for Davis to get on the field. The fifth overall pick went down in training camp with a hamstring injury. Davis’ status was upgraded from week-to-week to day-to-day on Monday and the former Western Michigan wideout is hopeful to see some action in the Titans’ final preseason game.
Davis’ injury is unfortunate, however his fantasy stock is still pretty high. The hype around Davis coming out of college has already earned him respect around the league. If he can stay healthy he has a big fantasy upside with Marcus Mariota dishing him the rock.
Jones landed in a starting role because of a Sammy Watkins trade, Jordan Matthews injury, and Aquas Boldin’s retirement. He has been consistent so far catching three out of six passes for 42 yards in preseason Week 2. As the best receiver in Buffalo for now, expect Jones to see a lot more targets in the third preseason game.
Jones’ fantasy stock is much higher with all the losses the Bills have suffered at wideout. When Matthews returns from injury, Jones will probably see a drop off in targets. He is still the strongest deep threat on the Bills and that alone makes him a strong WR2 candidate.
Kupp is making headlines in Los Angeles even with star wideout Sammy Watkins coming on board. The third-round pick from Eastern Washington has been the top target and receiver for the Rams through two preseason games. Running out of the slot, Kupp is a comfortable target for QB Jared Goff.
If Kupp continues to have an explosive preseason, there is no reason that success will not carry over to the regular season. The 69th overall pick is great for PPR leagues based on the rapport he has built with Goff. Owners looking for a late-round steal should definitely have Kupp on their radar.
Golladay shocked everyone in his NFL debut, catching three passes for 53 yards and two touchdowns. His production dove dramatically in preseason Week 2 to one catch for 6 yards, however he did take snaps with the first-team offense. Now, he stands to benefit further now that T.J. Jones is out with a hamstring injury.
There are talks in Detroit that Golladay could be a red-zone threat for the Lions. That makes Galloday an interesting fantasy pick. His target potential overall may not be great, but he can score. Owners should strongly consider the third-round pick in later rounds and DFS leagues.
