Cincinnati Bengals’ 2017 first-round pick John Ross is listed as questionable for Sunday’s Week 1 game against the Baltimore Ravens. Ross has been battling a knee sprain but head coach Marvin Lewis refused to rule him out this week.
John Ross injury update: Bengals WR questionable vs. Ravens
Ross got in practice time on Thursday and Friday but is still questionable for the Bengals’ game against the Ravens. We break down the fantasy implications.

Ross was originally diagnosed to be out a couple of weeks after spraining his knee on Sept. 1. He returned to practice Thursday and Friday putting in some quality reps. The electric rookie receiver has battled through injuries his entire career after having multiple surgeries on each knee at Washington and shoulder surgery during the pre-draft process.
Fantasy Impact: Despite Marvin Lewis not ruling him out, I do not expect Ross to play in Week 1. You don’t draft someone at No. 9 overall to rush him back from a knee sprain, especially with Ross’ injury history. If he does play, I don’t expect him to get a lot of snaps or make a big impact. If he doesn’t play, I look for the Bengals to get veteran Brandon LaFell and 2016 second-round pick Tyler Boyd more involved in the offense.
