Danny Woodhead is out for at least eight weeks, which means Allen’s about to break free. We break down the fantasy implications.


The Ravens placed Danny Woodhead on injured reserve after he suffered a hamstring injury, meaning he’s out for at least eight weeks. All of this leads to Allen getting more work alongside Terrance West.
Fantasy impact: Allen averaged 3.4 yards per carry last week, which is nothing to write home about. That said, he’s in position to see 15 touches a game, which warrants a look in deep fantasy leagues. He’s put up big numbers in the box scores before. The main challenge with Allen or anyone in Baltimore’s backfield in consistency.
Woodhead was undoubtedly brought on to be the team’s No. 1 option, but now things have changed. It’s time to unleash Allen if you managed to get him off of the waiver wire. He’ll be a regular contributor against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2.
