Philip Rivers may not be able to lead the Chargers to a win, but he plays lights out trying to do so. Last Sunday, Rivers completed 31 passes for 331 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Miami Dolphins. The week before that he completed 22 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 3: Philip Rivers
The Chargers may be winless, but Rivers is still a fantasy gem.

This week, the Kansas City Chiefs come to town. The Chiefs gave up 267 yards to Tom Brady in Week 1 and 333 yards to Carson Wentz in Week 2. They were able to keep Brady from scoring, but gave up two touchdowns to Wentz. Since the Chargers usually play from behind, Rivers will throw a lot against the Chiefs defense as well.
Fantasy impact: It is a good thing that team wins and losses do not matter in fantasy. Rivers continues to put up big fantasy numbers week after week regardless of which defense he is facing. He is probably going to throw at least one interception, but he is usually good for at least one touchdown and 200 passing yards. That consistency is an owner’s dream.
