Week 3 of the fantasy season has come and gone. It took a while, but we finally got some great games and strong fantasy performances, with guys like Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins, and Eli Manning finally playing up to their potential. We even got good games from the likes of Case Keenum and Blake Bortles, so it was that kind of week all around.
Fantasy football waiver wire: Best quarterbacks available in Week 4
With the fantasy season approaching the quarter mark, we examine the best quarterbacks available on the wire.

The byes are still another week away and there were no major quarterback injuries in Week 3, so fantasy owners in shallower leagues might not have to worry about streaming guys yet. However, for those who are, here are the top options available in 50 percent or less of Yahoo! standard leagues.
Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills (41 percent)
Like Dalton, Taylor’s been having a poor start to the year before getting back on track in Week 3, leading an upset win over the Denver Broncos. Taylor, as always, doesn’t have the passing volume to be an every-week fantasy starter, but he has some minor upside even after losing most of his weapons in the offseason. Taylor’s next game is against the Atlanta Falcons, a matchup that gives him streaming appeal in a potential shootout.
Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans (14 percent)
Watson had by far the best game of his rookie year, throwing for 301 yards and two touchdowns while nearly beating the New England Patriots on their home turf. He also added 41 rushing yards as the Texans committed to using his legs with multiple designed QB runs. Watson remains a work in progress (he threw a bad interception that led to a Patriots touchdown, ultimately deciding the game), but his fantasy ceiling grows as he gets more comfortable with the offense. He’ll have a tougher matchup with the Tennessee Titans next week.
Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams (12 percent)
Maybe it’s time to start taking Goff seriously in fantasy? After a historically bad rookie season, Goff looks like a completely different quarterback under Sean McVay. Week 3 was another fine performance, with 292 yards and three touchdowns in a shootout win over the San Francisco 49ers. Through three games, Goff has five touchdowns to just one interception, already matching his touchdown total from last season. He’s a genuine streaming option against the Dallas Cowboys next week.
Jacoby Brissett, Indianapolis Colts (two percent)
Being better than Scott Tolzien is one thing, but Brissett was simply good, period, against the Browns. Brissett picked up the Colts’ first win with 17-of-24 passing for 259 yards and a touchdown, moving the offense consistently and looking like an honest-to-God NFL quarterback in the process. The only thing keeping him from a top streaming option is a road matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, but Brissett is worth picking up in two-quarterback leagues.
