Davante Adams’ play has been up and down for the Green Bay Packers so far this season. Weeks 1 and 3 he was held in check catching three passes in each game for 47 and 60 yards respectively and no touchdown. Week 2 Adams caught eight passes for 99 yards and a score. The Packers have been hurt at the receiver spot with Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb battling injuries early the season.
Fantasy football start/sit Week 4: What to do with Davante Adams for ‘Thursday Night Football’
Should fantasy owners believe that Adams will show up in Week 4?

Thursday night Adams will go up against a confident Chicago Bears secondary. The Bears kept the Pittsburgh Steelers high-power receivers in line Sunday. They gave up 10 catches, 110 yards, and a touchdown to Antonio Brown, but they keep the remaining Steelers receivers under three catches and 39 yards with no scores.
Fantasy impact: It is hard to trust Adams. He shows up when you do not expect it and is a ghost when he has a favorable matchup. Looks like the Packers will be without Cobb again in Week 4, but Nelson is back. That instantly hurts Adams’ targets. If the Bears stick to their script, they will not let more than one receiver get hot Thursday night. There is a very small chance that Adams will be that receiver.
