With the running game leading the charge, Glennon threw for 101 yards, a touchdown, and an interception on 15 passes. He also added 4 yards rushing on three carries and was sacked twice. Most of Glennon’s passes were short hits to a running back or tight end. His longest completion went for 17 yards.

Glennon had a quiet role in the Bears’ Week 3 win. Here is why his fantasy ceiling will remain low Thursday night.

Thursday night, Glennon will face division rivals Green Bay Packers and the seventh best passing defense in the NFL. The Packers have allowed only 86 receiving yards to opposing rushers and 56 receiving yards to opposing tight ends so far this season. Thirteen out of 15 of Glennon’s passes were to a running back or tight end in Week 3.
Fantasy impact: Glennon is doing the bare minimum to keep his job in Chicago. The offense is centered around the run, and all the fourth year QB has to do is snap the ball and hand it off. The Packers are good at shutting down the middle of the field, so Glennon’s go-to checkdown pass will not be there much for him this week. The Bears do not trust him to throw the deep ball often either. Glennon is looking at another low fantasy output this week.
