The Baltimore Ravens were desperate for help in the receiving corps last season. Tuesday they made a deal with former Arizona Cardinals wideout John Brown to bring some depth to the unit.
John Brown looks to rebuild his fantasy career with the Ravens
Brown is out to prove he can still be an elite receiver with a one-year, $5 million deal with Baltimore. We break down the fantasy impact.

Brown joins former Oakland Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree as one of the newest additions to the Ravens’ passing game. He is slated to be the No. 2 receiver on the depth chart to start the 2018 season.
Brown showed a ton of promise when he entered the league. In his first two seasons with the Cardinals, the 27-year-old caught 113 passes for 1,700 yards and 12 touchdowns. He had a dramatic drop off in production is 2016 after learning he carried the sickle-cell trait. Brown dealt with a lot of injuries the past two seasons. He had a career-low 299 receiving yards in 2017.
Fantasy impact: Brown is trying to prove he can still make it in the NFL. That will be good for owners since he should play with a chip on his shoulder. He also stands to see a fair amount of targets in the Ravens receiving corps. Brown is still injury prone and at any given moment could miss games. He will be a gamble in fantasy this season. His ceiling will remain pretty low with the Ravens next year.
