Today at Bahrain International Circuit, it was Ferrari’s turn.
F1 is on the cusp of a new season, one that is ushering in the biggest wave of technical regulation changes in the sport’s history. Among the new rules? Active aerodynamics, featuring movable front and rear wings. According to F1, this means “dynamically adjustable angles of the front and rear wing elements in specific high-speed sections, designed for Corner and Straight modes.” The active aerodynamics “enable strategic adaptability and maximize full usage of the car’s power through greater on track grip.”
The changes are a revolution for the sport, and Ferrari seems to have taken that literally.

However, speaking about the upcoming season on Wednesday, the veteran driver outlined both his excitement for the season, and his connection to the SF-26.
“My belief in the team is still absolutely the same,” said Hamilton. “[I have] 100% faith in this team and what they’re capable of, and that’s why I joined the team.
“I knew it wasn’t going to be an overnight thing, that we’d have success immediately – that’s why I signed a longer deal, because I knew it was… more often than not it is a process. I feel like we’ve also learned a huge amount from last year as a team, and there have been changes that we’ve made.
“Everyone’s constantly keen to make improvements and be better, so I think we’re working better together than ever before. I’m excited for that.
“Last year we were locked into a car that obviously I inherited – this is a car that I’ve been able to be a part of developing on the simulator for the last 10 months, eight months, so a bit of my DNA is within it so I’m more connected to this one, for sure.”
F1’s final day of pre-season testing takes place on Friday. The 2026 season begins in earnest with the Australian Grand Prix on March 8.
