The F1 Academy continues to expand.

Late last year it was announced that the field of drivers would expand by three, increasing the grid to 18. Hitech Grand Prix joined the all-female series as the sixth team on the grid, operating two full-time drivers and a third “wild card” seat.

Now, the series has announced that TAG Heuer is joining as both an Official Partner of the F1 Academy and the first Official Timekeeper in the series’ history. As a part of this partnership, TAG Heuer has designed one of the liveries for Hitech, which will be driven by 17-year-old Aiva Anagnostiadis, who joins the series as a rookie this year. The Australian began karting at six years old and has driven in the F4 Indian Championship.

According to the announcement, the TAG Heuer and race suit feature the brand’s red, white, and black colors. The engine cover on Anagnostiadis’ car contains the phrase ‘It’s not a man’s world anymore,’ which highlights “the brand’s commitment to championing and empowering female talent.”

Susie Wolff, the Managing Director of F1 Academy, hailed the announcement.

“We are proud to welcome TAG Heuer as Official Partner and the first Official Timekeeper for F1 Academy from 2025. This partnership reflects a joint commitment to empower female talent and a desire to accelerate change in our sport - it’s most certainly not just a man’s world anymore.”

The 2025 F1 Academy season begins next month at the Chinese Grand Prix.
