The 2026 Formula 1 season will look very different than the current campaign.

In addition to new technical regulations that will shake up the grid, the number of teams will expand by one with the arrival of Cadillac. That means there are two more seats on the grid next season, a fact that has sparked significant speculation over the two drivers that will join the lineup next season.

Do we now have confirmation that Valtteri Bottas is one of those drivers?

The veteran driver, currently a reserve at Mercedes, has been linked with one of the spots at Cadillac since the moment the team was officially approved to join the grid next season. In a post on social media, Bottas hinted at a seat at Cadillac, as he happens upon a Cadillac SUV, and remarks about the “nice seat” that is available.

The caption for the video? “Do we like this seat?”

The video ends with Bottas being asked if he wants to sit down in the available driver’s seat, to which he replies: “Not yet.”

But soon?
