Greuther Fürth Vs. Fortuna Düsseldorf, 2012 Bundesliga: Final Score, Another Clean Sheet For Düsseldorf In 2-0 Win

Five clean sheets in five matches for Düsseldorf is amazing.

Fortuna Düsseldorf even keeps clean sheets on the road. A trip to Greuther Fürth was no problem as they leave 2-0 victors.

Düsseldorf started well by limiting Fürth’s opportunities in front of their goal. They opened the scoring in the 26th minute when Oliver Fink headed in a cross from Johannes van den Bergh. With Düsseldorf being the only side in the division yet to concede a goal this season, Fürth knew they were in trouble.

Their doubt was increased only minutes later when Max Grün was beaten again to make it 2-0. Ken Ilso received a pass from Andreas Lambertz in the center of the penalty area and shot past Grün.

Desperate to get back into the match, Fürth began to push forward more fervently in attack as Düsseldorf began to sit back. Fabian Giefer was called upon to make a few key saves to keep Fürth from scoring, but they never seemed under threat of conceding.

The second half would play out with Düsseldorf maintaining their fifth consecutive clean sheet to begin the season in what can only be described as a remarkable start to the season for the newly promoted side.
