Valero Texas Open Leaderboard: Seven Tied For Lead At End Of Second Round

At TPC San Antonio on Friday, the top of the leaderboard is an especially crowded one. After two rounds of play, seven players share a tie for the lead at the Valero Texas Open.

Standing at 3-under for the tournament lead are Rich Beem, Geoff Ogilvy, Kevin Sutherland, Brandt Snedeker, Charley Hoffman, Kevin Chappell, and Brendan Steele. Sutherland, who shot 2-under on the day, had a chance to take the lead after sinking an eagle on the 14th hole, but bogeys on the 15th and 18th dragged him back into a tie.

Noteworthy golfers to miss the cut are Anthony Kim and Angel Cabrera, both formidable forces at last week’s Masters.

Here is how the top of the leaderboard looks entering Round 3’s action.

T1. Rich Beem (-3)
T1. Geoff Ogilvy
T1. Brandt Snedeker
T1. Charley Hoffman
T1. Kevin Chappell
T1. Brendan Steele
T8. Adam Scott (-2)
T8. Matt Every
T8. Dean Wilson
