Tiger Woods announced on his website Monday his intention to make his 2012 PGA Tour debut at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, which takes place from February 9-12.

It will be the seventh time Woods has appeared in the tournament, but his first since 2002. He won the event in 2000 and finished second in 1997. It’s also the site of his 2000 U.S. Open triumph, which he won by a record 15 strokes.

“I’m excited to start my PGA Tour season at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. AT&T is a great partner to my Foundation, and I’m looking forward to playing in this event. I haven’t been to this tournament lately, but I have a lot of good memories at Pebble. It will be fun going back.”

Woods is set to make his 2012 debut on the European Tour at the HSBC Championship in the United Arab Emirates on January 26.
