Franklin Templeton Shootout 2012: TV schedule, tee times, pairings for Friday

The Franklin Templeton Shootout features a mix of young players and veterans as the competitors are paired off.

The 2012 Franklin Templeton Shootout is set to begin on Friday Morning at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla. The event is hosted by Greg Norman and consists of three rounds of stroke play competition. Players are broken into 12 teams of two, and they will be alternating shots for the opening day. Live television coverage of the event begins at 1 p.m. ET on the Golf Channel.

Keegan Bradley and Brendan Steele return as the tournament’s defending champions. They will be paired with the team of Dustin Johnson and Ian Poulter as the last group to tee off at 11:25 a.m.

Mark Calcavecchia and Mike Weir get the day started with Sean O-Hair and Kenny Perry at 10:25 a.m. The event’s host will couple with Fredrik Jacobson and they will tee off at 11:13 a.m.

There will be $3 million in total prize money on the line as competitors face a different set of rules each day. Saturday will be best ball, and Sunday will feature the scramble rule.
