RBC Heritage Classic 2012: Harbour Town Yielding Little On Sunday, Can Brandt Snedeker Come From Behind Again?

The final round of the Heritage Classic is underway at Harbour Town on Hilton Head, with the final portly pairing of Carl Pettersson and Colt Knost going off at 1:55 p.m. ET. Both Pettersson and Knost had a significant lead on the rest of the field, with Zach Johnson three shots back of Knost and four back of Pettersson, who leads at 12-under. And so far Sunday, the course is not yielding many super low rounds for someone to charge up the leaderboard. American Michael Bradley shot a weekly low 64 in the second round, so the course can be had if someone gets hot.

If Knost and Pettersson do not come back to the field, the likeliest candidates to chase them down are Johnson and Brandt Snedeker, who won last year’s Heritage by shooting a final round 64 to come from six shots back and beat Luke Donald in a playoff. So far on Sunday, Kevin Stadler is making some noise early on and is 2-under through the first three holes. He is now 5-under, seven shots back of Pettersson. Charles Howell III has turned in the low round of the day, coming in with a 68. The course has yet to deliver a low Sunday round, so the chasers will have to hope Harbour Town gives Pettersson and Knost some trouble early.
