LPGA and World Golf Hall of Famer Se Ri Pak is out indefinitely with a slight tear in the labrum of her left shoulder.
Shoulder Injury Sidelines LPGA Hall Of Famer Se Ri Pak
↵Pak, who withdrew from this week’s Mobile Bay LPGA Classic, announced Friday that she hoped to avoid surgery through intensive rehabilitation efforts. The 25-time LPGA winner, and inspiration for an entire generation of Asian golfers, hurt her shoulder Tuesday when she slipped on some stairs.
↵Pak has apparently seen Mobile, Ala.-based Dr. James Andrews, a renowned sports medicine doctor who has rescued many a professional athlete’s career. If anyone can get the five-time major champion off the DL and back on the course soon, it would be Andrews.
↵“Right now, there is no timeline for my return to the LPGA, but I know the next two months of rehab will be important for my recovery,” Pak said in a statement. “I have a positive outlook and I fully expect to return to the LPGA Tour as soon as the time is right.”
