Rory McIlroy took over the No. 1 spot on top of the World Golf Rankings this week after coming in second at the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship over the weekend. McIlroy fell to Rickie Fowler in a sudden death playoff, but the high finish was good enough to edge him past last week’s No. 1 Luke Donald, who didn’t play in the tournament.
