Wyndham Championship Leaderboard: Tim Clark Takes Early Friday Lead

Great conditions in Greensboro have everybody scoring well at the Wyndham Championship, and in the early stages of the second round, Tim Clark has pulled into a lead atop the leaderboard at 9-under.

Clark started the day at 7-under, a stroke off of the score set by Carl Pettersson, who tees off later today. But the South African has continued where he left off yesterday after shooting a first round 63, birdieing the first and fifth holes to take sole possession of first place. With the scores other golfers are putting up, Clark won’t be too comfortable: Matt Every is also two-under through eight holes and sits at 7-under, while Pettersson is looking to keep up his strong play from the PGA Championship, where he finished in a tie for third.

With all four of golf’s majors in the bag, players are vying to earn FedEx Cup points and make their way into one of the 125 spots in The Barclays.
