Deutsche Bank Leaderboard: Tiger Woods Out To Strong Start

After winning at The Barclays, Nick Watney holds a lead in the FedEx Cup playoffs but has a cast of characters that includes Tiger Woods, Brandt Snedeker and Rory McIlroy just behind him. Early in the first round at the Deutsche Bank Championship, the second event in the playoffs, Woods and others have made up some ground on Watney.

Watney is 1-over through seven holes on the back nine after a bogey on hole 12 sent him down the leaderboard. While the lead isn’t that significant so early in the tournament, Woods has managed to get the head start on Watney with birdies on both holes 11 and 13. At 2-under through seven, Woods is in a tie for the fourth spot on the leaderboard.

Leading the field are three golfers tied at three under par: D.A. Points, Scott Stallings and Adam Scott.
