Deutsche Bank Leaderboard: Tiger Woods 1-Under Through 11, Louis Oosthuizen Charging

Rory McIlroy still holds a two-shot lead over the field at the Deutsche Bank as the afternoon wave of players have failed to make a move up the leaderboard. Tiger Woods is 1-under through his first 11 holes, holding steady at 8-under.

It looked like Woods might go on another crazy birdie streak like he did at the start of the front nine on Friday, but birdies at Nos. 1 and 2 were followed by a bogey at No. 3. A bogey on the par-3 11th hole brought him back down to 1-under for the day -- certainly not poor but a score he’ll be disappointed with it it holds there over the final seven holes. The course has been fairly soft again on Friday, with plenty of scores in the mid-60s as the pros take dead aim at the sticks. Woods will certainly be in contention over the weekend but he’d like to back up that amazing Friday with the putter by making a charge at McIlroy.

The big mover in the afternoon wave has been Louis Oosthuizen. The cool South African is 4-under through his first 12 holes and is now even with three others in third place at 9-under. Louis started his day on the back side with three straight birdies. Oosthuizen still has a couple more birdie chances coming as he finishes up his round on the front side and with one of the best swings in the game, he’s always a factor in the Playoffs.
