World Golf Rankings 2013: Top-10 remains unchanged, Webb Simpson rises

The World Golf Rankings top-10 remained unchanged, as Tiger Woods continues to hold the No. 1 spot followed by Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson.

The only major change in the top-50 came from Webb Simpson who climbed seven spots to No. 17 after a six-shot victory at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas. It marks Webb’s first victory in 16 months. In addition, Masonori Kobayashi won the Japan Golf Tours Flagship event, which resulted in his climbing to No. 171 in the rankings, an improvement of 203 spots. Scott Hend claimed his third Asian Tour title this season, which catapulted him 44 spots to No. 135.

There was minor movement in the top-20, as Jim Furyk moved up one spot to No. 13, which pushed Luke Donald down a spot, while Charl Schwartzel (No. 18) and Sergio Garcia (No. 19) both moved down one position.
